I wrote my first sermon as a student rabbi almost forty years ago. In those days I wrote them by hand! I can’t work out how many sermons, articles for newspapers and other items I’ve written in almost four decades. I also don’t know what has happened to most of them. One of my teachers, Rabbi Dr Albert Friedlander z”l once said that a rabbi has only one sermon and they spend their lives finding different ways to say it. Here are some of my attempts.
